Annalee Skehan

Annalee Skehan, Senior Family Lawyer Brisbane

She began her career in family law in 2008 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2015 after completing a Bachelor of Laws. Since then, Annalee has practised exclusively in family law, building deep expertise across several specialist Brisbane firms.

In 2019, she was recognised as a Doyle’s Guide Rising Star.

Annalee works with individuals and families navigating separation, bringing clear thinking, personalised strategy, and genuine care for what comes next. Her focus is not only on resolving the legal issues, but on helping clients make decisions that support their long-term wellbeing and future stability.

Having trained in mediation with the Australian Disputes Centre, Annalee takes an intentional and measured approach to conflict. She encourages clients to pause, understand their options, and make considered decisions – particularly where children are involved and longer-term outcomes matter.

What sets Annalee apart is the perspective she brings from the life she has lived alongside her legal career.

In 2019, she took a break from practice to raise young children and live overseas as an expat in Mongolia and Singapore. Experiencing family life far from home deepened her understanding of the pressures facing modern families – balancing careers, parenting, and major transitions. Annalee returned to family law in 2024 with the lived experience of time away now underpinning her grounded, calm and empathetic approach to her work, together with a clear appreciation of how decisions made today shape family life long into the future.
